Right now I’m working on this chicken, which could use a wattle or two, for my local gallery and it’s a test piece to see what the clientele are really like.
I know that when this is completed it would sell on my website and the gallery in Nova Scotia which carries my carvings. So you could say that I’m testing this gallery to see if it’s worthwhile having my work there.
What I find exciting about this piece is this will be the last piece for quite a while that I send off to any gallery and all my work from now on will be going directly to my website which you’ll be one of the first to know about.
I’ll also be posting more often on Instagram as I work my way along.
And at this very moment I have no idea what that first carving will be.
In this photo the chicken is resting on a box that I’m building for a very important carving that took up most of the year up to this date and which I can’t post photos or talk about too much yet. All the talking about it will happen after June 17 and if you are living in the Greater Victoria area you might be able to figure out a little bit about what I’m not talking about.
