One of my favourite birds, especially when I see them walking upside down, this nuthatch is 5 1/2 inches long and stands 2 1/2 inches tall.
And like everything else I create it's hand carved out of basswood and finished with acrylic paint, shellac and paste wax and this bird stands upon wire feet that took me a while to remember how to make them.
